Meet the Board
- Suzanne Hubbard - President
Suzanne is focusing on strategy and marketing at UCLA Anderson. As President of the Women's Business Connection for 2008-2009, she will serve as the club's representative on the Anderson Student Association Council and lead the Women's Business Connection Board in the development of events and opportunities for Anderson women to develop as leaders in business and the community. Suzanne also serves as a student counselor for the Parker Career Management Center. Prior to business school, Suzanne was a luxury goods buyer focused on the Asian market for the Moët Hennessey · Louis Vuitton subsidiary DFS Group. Suzanne spent her summer in Business Development at Brand Sense Partners and graduated from Georgetown University in 2001.
- Kristin Ashcraft - VP Finance
Kristin is focusing on supply chain management and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. As Vice President of Finance for the Women's Business Connection, she manages the WBC budget, ASA funds and financial coordination with other clubs for co-sponsored events. Kristin is also the SOMA President for 2007-2008, an Owner/Manager of the Entrepreneur Association and a member of Wine Club and JABA. She has served as a mentor for the Riordan Fellows Program and as a committee member for Anderson Days. Prior to Anderson, Kristin worked in international sourcing and production management at Gap Inc. In the summer of 2008, Kristin worked as a summer associate in the Supply Chain Design and Innovation consulting group at UTi Worldwide in Long Beach, CA. Kristin graduated from Duke University, with a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy and Biology and a minor in Political Science.
- Susanna Burke - VP Social
Susanna is focusing on marketing and strategy while at UCLA Anderson. As the Vice President of Social for the Women’s Business Connection, Susanna is in charge of planning quarterly events for the members to enjoy. In addition to her duties in the WBC, Susanna is a director in the Marketing Association, organizing the Marketing Association's Fall and Winter Career nights and a Riordan Scholar Mentor. Before coming to Anderson, Susanna worked for Christie's, the world's oldest fine art auction house, taking on assignments in Chinese Works of Art and Human Resources. Susanna spent her summer working for Nestle USA as a brand manager in the Seasonal Confections group. Susanna graduated from Amherst College in 2003 with a B.A. in American Studies. In her free time she enjoys running, yoga, hiking and squash.
- Shrankhla Upadhyay - VP Professional Development
Shrankhla is focusing on strategy and finance at UCLA Anderson, and spent her summer at McKinsey & Co. as a Summer Associate. As Vice President of Professional Development, Shrankhla is responsible for coordinating workshops and conferences that are geared towards career advancement for women. She will also coordinate the Consulting Brunch and the Etiquette Dinner for WBC this year. Outside the WBC, Shrankhla’s activities include leading an ACT Consulting team and mentoring Riordan scholars. Prior to UCLA Anderson, Shrankhla worked as an Analyst with Dell Incorporated. She graduated from BITS, Pilani in India with a degree in Computer Science Engineering.
- Angela Colt - VP Corporate Relations
Angela is focusing on finance and strategy at UCLA Anderson. As Vice President of Corporate Relations, Angela manages the WBC's relationships with corporations. She is also Director of Investment Management for the Investment Finance Club and Vice President of Finance for the Challenge for Charity. Prior to Anderson, Angela worked in finance, first in investment banking at UBS, and then in institutional equity sales at a boutique investment bank and broker dealer. This past winter, while at Anderson, she was a research analyst intern at Kayne Anderson Capital Management in Los Angeles working in the high yield group. Angela spent her summer with Fidelity at their headquarters in Boston as a research analyst intern in their high yield division. Angela graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in the History of Art.
- Paula Moffat - VP Alumnae Outreach and Communication
During her time at UCLA Anderson, Paula is concentrating on consulting and real estate. As Vice President of Almunae Outreach and Communication of the Women's Business Connection for 2008-2009, she is responsible for building relationships with alumnae and improving communication vehicles and knowledge transfer. Paula is also a Management Communication Teaching Assistant and an Outreach Co-Chair. Prior to business school, Paula was a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers where she focused on Financial, Operational, and IT improvement for a variety of companies. Paula spent her summer working for a private real estate investment firm in San Diego and graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2002 with a B.A. in Business Economics and a minor in Technical Writing.
- Zoe Tanaka - VP Admissions & Community Service
Zoe is focusing on strategy and finance at UCLA Anderson. As Vice President Community Service and Admissions Outreach, she handles communication with prospective students and coordinates WBC volunteer opportunities and community involvement. Prior to business school, Zoe worked as an equity research analyst at Delaware Investments, the investment management subsidiary of Lincoln Financial Group, in Philadelphia. Over the summer, Zoe worked in management consulting as a summer associate for Bain & Co. in Los Angeles. Zoe was born and raised in Honolulu, and graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish.
