Meet the Board - 2011/2012
- Lindsey Walter - President
Lindsey is focusing on marketing and brand management at UCLA Anderson. As President of the Women's Business Connection, she serves as the WBC representative to the Anderson Student Association (ASA) and leads the WBC Board in developing events and opportunities for women on campus. Lindsey is also the vice president of career development with the Marketing Association and vice president of external with the Public Speaking Club. Prior to joining UCLA Anderson, Lindsey worked at ZS Associates, a management consulting firm that specializes in sales and marketing consulting. Lindsey interned in brand marketing at The Clorox Company during the summer. She holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.- Haley Carey - Co-Vice President of Professional Development
Haley is pursuing her MBA as part of the UCLA Anderson class of 2012. Prior to business school she worked for Parametric Portfolio Associates, an index-based investment management firm. She held a variety of roles at the firm focusing on high net worth clients. This past summer Haley interned with Goldman Sachs as a Summer Associate in their Investment Management Division. She will be joining Goldman Sachs full-time as a Private Wealth Advisor following graduation in June 2012. In her free time she enjoys running, playing volleyball, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. Haley earned her undergraduate degree from Washington State University where she majored in Finance and minored in Hospitality Business Management. She graduated from Washington State summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA. - Sireenah Siman - Co-Vice President of Professional Development
Sireenah is focusing on Marketing at UCLA Anderson. She currently serves as the Co-Vice President of Professional Development for the Women's Business Connection where she is responsible for planning events designed to foster discussion around and improve member's leadership, management, and business skills. She also serves as the Vice President of Recruiter Relations for the Marketing Association and is a Marketing ACT Coach. Prior to business school, Sireenah worked as a Sales Manager for Bargain Network. She spent her summer working as a marketing intern on the Milk-Bone brand team for Del Monte Foods. Sireenah graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004 with a B.A. in Business-Economics and Psychology.- Courtney Mayeda - Vice President of Admissions
Courtney is focusing on High Tech Marketing and Product Management at UCLA Anderson. As Vice President of Admissions for the Women's Business Connection for 2011-2012, she is responsible for communicating with female applicants and organizing outreach events. Courtney serves in the additional outreach roles of ASA Admissions Co-Chair and VP of Marketing and Communication for HTBA. Prior to business school, Courtney worked for Wells Fargo's Internet Services Group in their Online Sales and Marketing division. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Studies and Hispanic Studies from Scripps College. Courtney loves baseball, jazz dance, practicing Spanish, and international travel.- Anna Glover - Vice President of Social
Anna is focusing on Strategy and International Management at UCLA Anderson. As Vice President of Social for the Women's Business Connection, Anna is in charge of planning quarterly events for the members to network while enjoying themselves. Anna is also a founding member and Vice President of Operations for the Microbrew Club. Before coming to Anderson, Anna worked as a business development manager in the Europe and Eurasia division at Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm based in Washington, DC. At Chemonics, Anna focused on developing new projects for the Europe and Eurasia division as well as managing an agribusiness project in Bosnia. Over the summer, she transitioned to the tech industry, working for Amazon.com as a product management intern in the Kindle division. She graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a BA in International Relations and Environmental Science. During her free time Anna enjoys traveling, hiking, and beer tasting.- Marissa Schmidt - Vice President of Community Service
Marissa attended Bucknell University as an undergraduate where she majored in Psychology and Spanish. She worked in New York for Goldman Sacks for five years and is thrilled to be back home in L.A. at UCLA Anderson. After school she hopes to work in nonprofit management.- Roshni Pary - Co-Vice President of Alumni Relations
Roshni is focusing on Strategy and Marketing at UCLA Anderson. Prior to business school, Roshni worked as a product manager at a startup. She spent her summer at VMware, Inc. in Palo Alto where she worked for the Public cloud product marketing team. Roshni enjoys cooking, baking and yoga in her free time. As Co-Vice President of Alumnae Outreach and Communication of the Women's Business Connection for 2011-2012, she is responsible for establishing a Women's Mentorship program, building strong relationships with alumnae and improving communication vehicles and knowledge transfer.- Allison Silvers - Co-Vice President of Alumni Relations
As Co-Vice President of Alumni Relations for the Women's Business Connection for 2011-2012, Allison is responsible for developing a Women's Mentorship program, building strong relationships with alumnae, and facilitating knowledge transfer. At UCLA Anderson, Allison is concentrating on Strategy and Finance. She is a Project Manager for the Anderson Strategy Group and an ACT Coach for Consulting and Strategy. Prior to business school, Allison worked in finance at J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns. Allison graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in business and psychology. - Megan Klein - Vice President of Communications
Megan is focusing on Marketing at UCLA Anderson. As Vice President of Communications for the Women's Business Connection, she is responsible for sharing and distributing information about the club's events to members, alumni, the Anderson community and women professionals throughout Los Angeles. Megan is also vice president of career night for the Entertainment Management Association. She is also a management communications and marketing TA. Prior to joining UCLA Anderson, Megan worked at The Abernathy MacGregor Group, a strategic communications firm specializing in crisis and transaction communications. Megan interned with the Consumer Products Group at NBCUniversal during the summer. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Amherst College. - Shilpa Dabke - Vice President of Finance
Shilpa is focusing on Strategy and Operations at UCLA Anderson. As VP of Finance in Women's Business Connection Association, she manages the WBC budget, membership, and financial coordination with other clubs for co-sponsored events. Shilpa is an ACT coach for operations and supply chain and an active member of Net Impact. Prior to Anderson Shilpa worked in the engineering-construction industry where she managed capital projects. Shilpa graduated from University of Mumbai with a B.E. in civil engineering. She has a M.S. degree from University of Cincinnati. Outside of school Shilpa enjoys cooking, yoga, and hiking.
